The mission of Urban Homeworks, Inc. is to perpetuate the hope of Jesus Christ through innovative community development. Volunteers who support the work of UHW greatly assist us as we strive to act upon our mission. Our volunteers have been one of our greatest assets and we hope they will continue to be a great asset. With that in mind, we want to put forth our best effort to provide a great and safe volunteering experience. To ensure the quality of the volunteer experience, we ask our volunteers to adhere to the following volunteer policies:

1. Contact UHW at least two months prior to the desired volunteer project date.
2. We limit the group size to 12 volunteers, although we can possibly accommodate more volunteers if it is communicated at least two weeks prior to volunteering.
3. UHW has a minimum age limit of 16 years old, unless there is an age-appropriate project.
4. For students under the age of 18, we require a 5:1 student to adult ratio.
5. All volunteers must agree to and sign the UHW volunteer waiver form.
6. UHW will provide all building material and all power tools that will be used on a project. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own hand tools.
