Our volunteer groups come from churches, schools, businesses and more. They range from very advanced technical skills, like framing and concrete work, to very simple everyday skills, like painting and cleaning. For more specific descriptions please reference the FAQs link at the top of the page.

Reserve a Volunteer Date

• Single Day: $25/person (12-15)
• Three Consecutive Days: $1,000 (without housing**)
• Weeklong: $3,000 (without housing**)
  Urban Immersion Program $250/person/session (call Jon at 612-703-9093 for minimum and maximum group size). The Urban Immersion Program has been made available through a partnership with Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches.

*groups that plan to volunteer on a periodic basis (i.e.. quarterly, semiannually, etc.) will be asked to contribute the single day donation for each day the group plans on being on-site.
**Depending on availability, housing may be obtained for an additional contribution.

Group Experience – Larson Allen Group

One of the goals for our group was to get involved with volunteer opportunities. One of the guys in our group knew one of the Urban Homeworks employees. We contacted Urban Homeworks and got a group of people to volunteer.

By volunteering with Urban Homeworks, we feel we have a chance to personally make a difference in the lives of low-income to no-income families. When we volunteered, there were many different tasks that needed worked on, which was great, because we have a group with people of all different ages and skill levels.
