About Us
Mission
The Mission of Urban Homeworks is to perpetuate the hope of Jesus Christ through innovative community development that produces dignified housing for low income families, a strategic network of good neighbors and the redemptive development of real estate.
History
We are a faith-based housing organization that has rehabilitated and constructed scattered, small, multi-unit and single-family housing in the Twin Cities since 1995. The combination of dignified housing, volunteer mobilization, construction training for community members and a passionate group of young professionals in the community has created a powerful model of neighborhood stabilization and richness.
Core Values
- Compassion that cultivates dignity
- Relationships that reconcile people to God and to each other
- Biblical justice that liberates individuals and communities
