Giving is one of the most rewarding pieces of Urban Homeworks’ ministry. Through our many programs and options, Urban Homeworks involves the time, talent and resources of many different people who each have different skills and financial capacity. If you’re interested in supporting the work of Urban Homeworks, read below about some of the creative ways to make a difference for the people and the neighborhoods that we serve.

For more information or to participate in any of these opportunities, contact Ryan Petersen, Director of Development at 612-701-2653.

Urban Homeworks bHaulnitHomeelieves that when people come together, we can accomplish something greater than ourselves. The urban community does not exist without the effects and the interaction of the rural community. Each year, Urban Homeworks hosts a grain drive to provide dignified housing for low income families. If you have a farm, consider participating by donating a load to Urban Homeworks.

Opportunities to Support Urban Homeworks

Monthly Giving 100Gives100
100 Gives 100—it’s simple. 100 people each giving $100 a month will make ALL of Urban Homeworks rental homes available to families making as little as $10.00 per hour without the need of a government subsidy. We understand that $100 each month can be a stretch, so we encourage you to consider what amount is feasible for you and help stabilize another family. You can help families stay in housing and improve their ability to thrive. >>Click here to join 100 Gives 100 online today. EFT/ACH available.

Project:Reclaim
PROJECT:Reclaim, a home ownership program created by Urban Homeworks, facilitates successful home ownership-helping to create healthy, vibrant, and sustaining communities. Through PROJECT: Reclaim, we equip and support people who have been declined a home mortgage due to credit challenges and create an opportunity for them to affordably own a home. Many companies have gift matching programs for their employees. Check with your employer to see if they already have a gift matching program or if they would be willing to match your gift to Urban Homeworks.

Gifts of Stock
It can be as easy as a quick call to the person who administers your stock. Also, this is a great way to offset your tax exposure at the end of the year.

Bequests
This gift puts an exclamation point on a life of giving. If you have put together a will or are thinking about it, consider adding Urban Homeworks. Your gift will continue to change lives and neighborhoods long into the future.

Gifts of Real Estate
Urban Homeworks is obviously an organization dealing with real property everyday. Whether it is located in a community where we’re working or not, we can provide direction in the facilitation of that transaction.

Urban Homeworks Investment Fund (private loan pool)
Interest can be the aspect of a transaction that makes or breaks Urban Homeworks’ ability to acquire and redeem a property where we will house families and Urban Neighbors. Consider making a socially responsible investment in property and changing lives.
